appointment information
The initial assessment is 1 hour and follow-up appointments are usually 45min. Depending on your condition follow-up appointments may be scheduled for longer or shorter, but in such a case the physiotherapist will discuss this with you.
The physiotherapist will need to see the affected body part. To treat certain body parts effectively you will need to undress to your underwear, and the practice will provide you with shorts and gowns or you can bring your own. For info on pelvic therapy appointments click here.

Fees
Fees are based on medical aid rates, but depending on which medical aid you belong to you may have a co-payment. ICD10 codes are utilized to facilitate re-imbursement from your medical aid. We do not submit accounts to medical aids. The account should be settled after treatment and then submitted to your medical aid by yourself.
It is best to submit the account once payment has been made and reflects on your statement. This ensures that the medical aid will pay you directly.
We accept internet banking and all major credit cards. Unfortunately, Diners Club and American Express cards are not accepted.
FAQ
Do I need a doctor's referral for Physiotherapy treatment? Physiotherapists are first line practitioners so you do not need a referral from your Doctor, unless this is required by your medical aid.
Is the cost of Physiotherapy covered by medical aid? It will depend on your particular medical aid. It is advisable to check with your medical aid provider whether physiotherapy is covered before starting treatment.
